[AVDI-PLUS] ABRITES VEHICLE DIAGNOSTIC INTERFACE (AVDI)
Manufacturer brand: ABRITES |
Details
What’s new in the Plus version of the hardware?
AVDI Plus is the next generation Abrites Vehicle Diagnostics Interface, which is enhanced with more connectivity options: CAN-FD and ENET. This allows for communication with newer vehicles, manufactured after 2018. Apart from that, the device is more durable and with improved design. Your new AVDI contains the essential functionalities the previous version also has, but Plus works smoother and faster.
One of the big improvements is that you can now work on multiple communication channels simultaneously (CAN, K-Line, CAN-FD, Ethernet), which makes your tasks even easier.
AVDI is your all-in-one diagnostic solution—powerful, reliable, and ready for any challenge
The ABRITES Vehicle Diagnostic Interface (AVDI) is the latest-generation diagnostic tool developed by Abrites Ltd. It serves as the core platform for the entire ABRITES ecosystem and supports a wide range of vehicles—including cars, motorcycles, vans, trucks, ATVs, watercraft, and heavy-duty machinery (agricultural, marine, and more).
AVDI is exceptionally versatile, offering diagnostic capabilities for nearly all vehicle brands on the market. It supports both standard and advanced diagnostics, along with complex procedures such as key programming, ECU programming, module replacement, and instrument cluster calibration. One of AVDI’s most powerful features is its integrated PassThru driver (J2534), which allows seamless use with third-party software when required. Fully compliant with SAE international standards, it enables access to third-party software by emulating various interface units—eliminating the need for additional tools and reducing both time and cost.
AVDI offers compatibility with major automotive manufacturers including Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda, Porsche, Lamborghini (VAG group), Mercedes-Benz (cars, trucks, and buses), Smart, BMW, Mini, Rolls-Royce, Toyota, Lexus, Peugeot, Citroën, Renault, Dacia, and many more. It also supports heavy-duty, agricultural, marine, and recreational vehicles through J1939 protocol compliance.
Standard diagnostics:
- Full vehicle scan – scan cars, vans, trucks, and heavy-duty vehicles with one click
- Module identification – AVDI reads and identifies all available modules in the vehicle and the data they store, e.g. VIN and part numbers (where applicable)
- Reading and clearing diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), a.k.a. faults
- Live values display – get live data information from the sensors in the vehicle in real time, e.g. temperature, RPMs, and more
- Actuator testing – identify any possible issues in the car by performing actuator tests
- Coding operations
More functionalities in the essential software:
- Module adaptation
- Reset/renewal of second-hand modules
- Key and transponder programming
- Instrument cluster calibration
- Airbag renewal
- Change software version of modules (updates)
Advanced diagnostics:
- Calibrations
- Configuration settings
- Coding options
- Diagnostic channel adaptations
